The gentle way of skiing

Cross-country skiing is healthy and makes demands on every muscle in your body.

For both serious skiers and those skiing just for fun, 12 kilometres of high altitude ski trails in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl provide everything they could want. The excellently maintained trails are relatively easy to ski on, but you can still really improve your physical condition and at the same time thoroughly enjoy concentrating on the glorious scenery.

The following ski trails in the immediate vicinity are available to our guests:

- practice trail in the centre of Obergurgl (3k, classic, skate boarding)
- Hochgurgl high altitude trail (2k, classic, skate boarding)
- Pill/Angern/Poschach high altitude trail (7km, classic, skate boarding)

 

 

Pill/Angern/Poschach high altitude trail

Length: 7 km, classic, skate boarding
Degree of difficulty: medium

Access by the car park at the Hochgurgl lift valley station. Level going along the valley floor Pill/Angern - easy to moderately difficult ascent via the Isse-Wiesen to the communities of Königsrain and Alt-Poschach – along the Ötz Valley Ache back on the right hand side past the Hotel Jagdhof to the car park.

Practice trail in the centre of Obergurgl

Length: 3 km, classic, skate boarding
Degree of difficulty: easy

Access at the Bobo's Kids Club or Schalfkoglweg below the church. Two level cross-country trails with connections along the Ötz Valley Ache direction Bobo's children’s area – cross the stream - cross the bridge to the Bartebene.

Hochgurgl Practice trail

Length: 2 km, classic, skate boarding
Degree of difficulty: easy

Access above Hochgurgl Chapel next to the ski run. Fairly level circuit in delightful scenery across the tree line, in direction of Königstal valley. Part of the trail is floodlit and can be used as a separate spur as a winter hiking trail.
